Welcome to the support area for the Grade 7 & 8 Mathematics Summer Learning Program.
This section of CODE’s (Council of Ontario Directors of Education) summer learning site is designed to support system leaders in District School Boards across Ontario as they work with principals and teachers to develop and implement an effective Summer Learning Program (SLP) in numeracy for vulnerable students in Grades 7 and 8.
Here you’ll find the Grade 7 and 8 Mathematics Summer Learning Program: Guide for Numeracy Component, a resource developed for CODE by the Ontario Mathematics Coordinators Association as a support for the 2021 CODE Summer Learning Program.
You can also share tips, resources, and success stories stemming from your board’s summer learning Grade 7 & 8 Mathematics Program, including those focused on developing a positive math mindset.
While student needs can vary across district school boards, the main focus of this section of the summer learning site is high-impact practices that center students in their mathematical experiences and engage them through meaningful learning during the summer learning program.
