We don’t let a little broken wrist hold us back! There is always something fun to do at summer learning. Today we played tic tab toe with nature 🍃 @TLDSB @OntarioSLP pic.twitter.com/fcHrgrcmwH

Some of the strategies being used by students independently working on the “word problem of the day”! 👍🏻 I provided laminated blank number lines and tens frames and they did the rest! @TLDSB @OntarioSLP pic.twitter.com/0aBxu0BdAW

Celebrating with space pops because when it’s 30+ degrees outside and you crush your all-time best math fact game score as a class, cold treats are in order! @OntarioSLP @tanyaRUNS @TLDSB pic.twitter.com/DptpzTiJpy

When our “I Have Who Has” blends game became a little tricky, we took out our Elkonin Boxes and got to work – we can decode tricky words and we followed our class motto: “we can do hard things!” 🎉 @OntarioSLP @tanyaRUNS @TLDSB @PaulGoldring pic.twitter.com/QQvDlXYo02

My favourite moments are always the unplanned learning that happens in a primary classroom. I never imagined for life-sized jenga to be used this way but students created this game today. Math is everywhere and our children creatively use it everyday! ♥️ @OntarioSLP @TLDSB pic.twitter.com/mQwpFWpbgi

Every afternoon we take a brain break to do a science or art activity… Today we made edible play dough!!! It smelt so yummy. As you can see we had many students taste testing before we played with the play dough 😊@TLDSB @OntarioSLP pic.twitter.com/rAEj6kla67

We are running out of space to display all of our fabulous work! Yesterday we reviewed tens frames and how to use them to help use solve addition and subtraction problems. We practice using them by making “name frames” 👍 @TLDSB @OntarioSLP pic.twitter.com/W4dBBli8eF
