Boards continue to find creative and innovative solutions to support Ontario’s more vulnerable students and enhance their learning while engaging parents in their child’s education.
Once again, CODE (The Council of Ontario Directors of Education) is proud to both administer a Summer Learning Program and support boards as they provide opportunities for students to minimize learning loss and get ready for September classrooms with more confidence in their abilities as learners.
This year, boards will also be focusing on bridging gaps in learning brought on by the COVID-19 health crisis with in-person or online classes, or a combination of both. In any setting, the summer programs will continue their successful concentration on K-6 Math and Literacy for those students who would benefit from additional learning support.
And, as in past years, opportunities for parent engagement in their child’s education will be a key component of summer programs across Ontario.
